Innovating Futures with Digital Technology: Rehabilitation and Healthy Ageing with Complex Chronic Conditions

This in-person symposium aims to advance knowledge transfer and exchange, foster collaborations and partnerships, and drive innovation around ageing, technology, and rehabilitation. By bringing together diverse perspectives, we aim to enhance research and practice, explore new technology-driven solutions, and improve clinical outcomes. We will identify and address emerging research priorities to transform care and improve the quality of life for ageing populations.
Over 15 speakers will come together on October 3, 2025 at the University of Manchester to promote knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) in the field of ageing, technology and rehabilitation research, strengthen international research and clinical partnerships, foster mentorship and training initiatives in technology, ageing and rehabilitation research and practice and identify emerging research priorities and future directions in technology and rehabilitation for persons aging with complex chronic conditions.
This Symposium is supported by a trilateral university partnership grant between the University of Manchester, Melbourne, and Toronto. We also acknowledge support from the Rehabilitation Science Research Network for COVID, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and the Canada International HIV and Rehabilitation and Research Collaborative.
