AI for Science Summit 2026: how AI turns research into real-world impact — free, Manchester, 26 Nov

Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester is hosting the second AI for Science Summit on Wednesday 26 November 2026, 12:00–18:00 at the Renold Building, Manchester — and it’s free.
Run in partnership with Conception X and the Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA), the summit is aimed at early-career scientists, PhD researchers, startup founders and policymakers exploring how AI can accelerate scientific breakthroughs — and, critically, how those breakthroughs translate into products, companies and real-world impact.
For health-tech founders and researchers in the Greater Manchester cluster, this sits squarely in the sweet spot: AI adoption across science is one of UKRI’s stated priority areas, and Manchester is building a visible position as an AI-for-science hub. Expect a full afternoon of sessions plus networking, anchored by a broader programme of satellite events in the same week — including an AI for Science benchmarking session by Constructor Labs at the same venue, a Future Founders breakfast and an AI Leaders lunch hosted by Pillar VC, and a ‘Next Frontier: AI for Science’ workshop by Digital Catapult.
If you’re translating research into a health-tech venture, want to understand how ARIA and Conception X are thinking about research-to-startup pathways, or just want to meet other people doing the same thing in GM — this is a free afternoon well spent.
