AI as a Medical Device: help shape the Pankhurst translation roadmap — stakeholder workshop, 17 Nov (EoI closes Friday 16 Oct)

November 17 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

A rare chance to shape a resource the whole community will use. On Tuesday 17 November 2026, 10:00–14:00, the Christabel Pankhurst Institute and Translation Manchester at The University of Manchester — with UCL’s Translational Research Office and the Clinical AI Interest Group — are running a stakeholder engagement workshop on AI as a Medical Device, at Maple House, UCL, London.

The purpose: to review a draft AI as Medical Device roadmap (developed with Hardian Health) that will be added to the Pankhurst Health Technology Translation Toolkit — the interactive web toolkit used by academics, industry and NHS staff to navigate translation of software as a medical device, non-invasive and implantable devices from research to patient benefit.

If you work in research, healthcare, industry, regulation or innovation and have views on how AI/ML devices should move from lab to clinic safely, this is your chance to feed in before the roadmap is set. Lunch and refreshments provided.

🔴 Places are limited and by expression of interest only — the EoI form closes THIS FRIDAY, 16 October 2026. Submitting the form doesn’t guarantee a place; selected participants get confirmation separately.
