Belfast Eye Conference
Belfast Eye Conference 2026 — Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November 2026, held online and free to attend.
Presented by Queen’s University Belfast (School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences) and hosted by Doctors Academy, this two-day virtual conference is aimed at medical, optometry and orthoptics students, early career doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals and scientists — and anyone with an interest in ophthalmology, optometry and vision science.
What to expect
• Saturday is clinically focused: talks from Consultant Ophthalmologists and the wider multi-disciplinary team across ocular imaging, paediatric ophthalmology, vitreoretinal surgery, oculoplastics, AMD, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular trauma, glaucoma and cataract.
• Sunday showcases cutting-edge vision research — diabetic eye disease, epidemiology, clinical trials evidence, ophthalmic genetics and retinal biology — plus student oral presentations.
• Delegates can submit their own research for poster display or a 7-minute oral presentation on Sunday afternoon.
